Viola died December 16th, 2008.
She was born November 12, 1914 in Brigham City, UT to Eugene and Lavenia Hillstrom. Married Avon R. Smith in Brigham City, UT; their marriage was later solemnized in the Salt Lake Temple. They bore three daughters LaVenia, Barbara and Janis. Avon preceded her death in March of 1977.
Viola was a good piano player, excellent cook, liked yahtzee, loved to read and enjoyed bus trips to Wendover. She was a very good-hearted woman. She completed her LPN license in 1964 and worked for Hillside Manor for years.
She is survived by her daughters Barbara and Janis; 12 grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; and 6 great-great-grandchildren.
In addition to her husband, she is preceded in death by her daughter LaVenia.
A graveside service will be held on Friday, December 19th at 2:00 PM at Elysian Burial Gardens, 1075 East 4580 South.
