Violet Clyde Allison Gottfredson

I am so very sad to learn of Clyde’s passing. Clyde and Harold were two of my favorite parents when I taught Gina at St. Ann’s. I will be keeping all of you in my prayers.

Dear Gina, we are so sorry to learn of Violet's passing. Sincere condolences to you and all the family. Violet was an inspiration who lived life to the full. She was very kind hearted, full of fun and always put a smile on your face with her craic and her stories. We are saddened to hear of Clyde's passing. The St. Patrick's Day Parade wasn't official until she showed up in her Donegal Cape! Blessings to you and the family at this time.

Clyde was one of a kind; regal, glamorous, kind, funny, generous. I will miss her dearly and my heart goes out to Gina and the rest of her family and friends. Big love.

Growing up next door to Clyde and Harold was a cultural, neighborly, and sometimes unusual experience. Clyde was always exceptionally dressed even with her garden gloves and clippers tending her plants that we totally enjoyed next to our driveway. I have many fond memories of Symphony Guild teas, hanging crystals in the new hall, and listening and learning about beautiful music and her other home. What a joy she was and her whole family.

Rest in peace Clyde, you deserve your rest with God. Love to your family.

Dear Gina, I send my deepest heartfelt sympathies and love to you and your family. I will always remember Clyde, as she has known me since I was a wee child. She always said my name so lovingly, with enthusiasm and care. I remember going to the Manor after school before Irish dance, and she would feed me biscuits while she had a cup of tea. Clyde is such a beautiful woman, with a great sense of humor and I remember her being strong and working in the garden. Much love to you.

Dear Gina, I am so sorry for the loss of your mother, Clyde. I knew your mother when she was dating Harold and I was dating Pete, Harold’s friend. She married Harold and I married someone else and we lost track of each other for a while to be again reunited when Harold had Alzheimer’s disease. Since I had an Alzheimer’s support group that she joined we again caught up on each other’s life. She was a sweet friend, caring wife and a great lady. I’ve seen you both on Facebook and it looks like she had a marvelous life. Rest in peace Clyde, until we meet again. Dini

Clyde was unforgettable and often hostess to Indian graduate students connected with our family. She was full of dignity and the embodiment of beauty. Long time greeter at the Cathedral and known and loved by many.

To all the Gottfredson family,please accept deepest sympathy on the death of Clyde. We met Clyde in Kingscourt while she was on holiday here. She was great fun to share stories with,larger than life,remembered with fondness always.
