On June 13th, 2011 we lost an amazing husband, father, grandfather, brother and friend. A wonderful and loving man was surrounded by his family at the end. You endured so much and were so brave, you could always make us smile.
Virge was born on August 30th, 1933, and was preceded in death by his parents Virgil and Auline Blackson; his brother Glen; and daughter Norma Auline.
He served as a member of our Armed Forces in the United States Navy.
He is survived by his loving wife Fran; son Craig; daughters Kim, Lisa, and Lori; 11 grandchildren; 2 great grandchildren; and sisters Shirley and Carol.
A graveside service will be held on Monday, June 20th at 11:00 AM at Utah Veteran’s Memorial Park, 17111 S. Camp Williams Rd., Bluffdale. Afterwards, family and friends are invited to attend a Celebration of his life from 2 to 4 PM in the Community Room at the James E. Kier Bldg., 260 East 800 South, Salt Lake City.
In Loving Memory
So very sorry to hear about Uncle Virge. I have a lot of good memories of him, and I'm so glad I got to add another memory this past February. Michelle and I were commenting on how much he went out of his way to make us feel so welcome. He was a great man, and he'll be missed.
