Virginia Elaine Blakley McDermaid

Virginia passed away on October 31st 2010.  She was born on April 23rd, 1929, in Oregon to Claude C. and Ramona A. Stover.

Graduated from Boise High and married to Will Blakley April 26, 1949.  They moved to Salt Lake City, UT were members of Presbyterian Church. 

Married Wallace McDermaid July 2, 1977.

Her hobbies included gardening, decorating, artistic oil painter.  She also enjoyed the companionship of her many friends.

Survived by daughter Nancy Blakley; and much-loved grandson Brian (Ann) Blakley; brothers Claude C. (Gretchen) Stover, Lee (Pat) Stover, Douglas (Sharon) Stover, Wendell Stover; sisters Marjorie (Don) Harris, Ramona (Denny) Johnson, Carol Stover and Sue Stover; step children Bruce (Barbara) McDermaid, Clark (Margarita) McDermaid, Sue (Steve) McDermaid; grandchildren Sean McDermaid, Amy Hughes, Megan Bessellevere, Todd McDermaid, and Troy McDermaid; and great grandchildren Ian McDermaid, Gavin McDermaid and Cora Blakley.

Preceded in death by husbands Will Blakley and Wallace McDermaid; son Douglas Blakley; two infant daughters; sister Patricia; and brothers Bill and John.

 

Memorial services and urn burial at Mt. Olivet will be held in the spring.  Information will be forthcoming.
