Virginia Western

Virginia Western, beloved wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister and friend passed away in the evening on August 12, 2013. Virginia was born January 1st, 1932 in Douglas, Arizona to Clara Thompson and Dallas Sherman. She was the fourth of six siblings and oldest girl.
She was always hard-working and energetic – tennis team and class president as a youth, Relief Society President twice as an adult and an example of service and kindness her entire life. She married Cecil Western in 1948 and raised six children.
Virginia is survived by her six children; 25 grandchildren; 21 great-grandchildren; one brother and two sisters. Preceded in death by her husband.
Funeral services will be held Friday, August 16th at 11:00 AM at the Taylorsville Gardens 1st Ward, 4252 South Bennion Rd., Taylorsville; where a viewing will begin one hour prior to services.
