Vita Margarita Dolce Preston

“Sunshine”

Our sweet mother was called away to be with our Father in Heaven on February 12, 2012, while at home surrounded by her family.

She was born July 23, 1933 in Brooklyn, New York.  She was an Italian mother who loved to make big Sunday dinners. She devoted her life to her family; she was a strong center to them in times of need and joy.  She enjoyed selling AVON, traveling, RV camping, Dancing With the Stars and, of course, family gatherings. Vita always had a joke in her heart.  She was devoted to her Catholic faith and gave much of her time to her parish, St. Francis Xavier.

She is survived by her sons Salvator Spinato, Phillip (Kim) Spinato, Jesse Dolce (Kelley Hall), Timothy (Shannon) Curd; many grandchildren and great-grandchildren; and siblings Ann Ratzsch and Joseph Dolce.

Preceded in death by Thomas TJ Preston, and son Audie.

Celebrate the life and family of Vita with Funeral services to be this Saturday, February 18th at 12:00 Noon at Saint Francis Xavier Church, 4501 West 5215 South, Kearns, Utah 84118, Phone: 801-968-2123.

Vita’s sons would like to extend heartfelt gratitude to Shannon Curd whose care for mother was tremendous.  The family is also grateful for all of the support of friends who eased the burden during this time.

In Loving Memory

Vita was a wonderful person and a great friend. She was so funny and I will miss playing games with her. Mexican trains will not be the same. I am saddened that my kids won't know "Aunt Vita" better. My condolences to her children, your mother was very special.

Vita was such a sweet lady. She always had a smile on her face and kind words to say. She was much more to us here at Kearns Improvement District than our Avon lady and customer, she was our friend. You will be sorely missed Vita. Much love to you....

Behold, God is my salvation; I will TRUST and NOT BE AFRAID; for the Lord Jehovah is my STRENGTH and my SONG; he also has bcmeoe my salvation Praise the Lord, Call upon his name, Declare his doings among the people, Make mention that his name is exalted CRY OUT AND SHOUT THOU INHABITANT OF ZION, FOR GREAT IS THE HOLY ONE OF ISRAEL IN THE MIDST OF THEE. 2nd Nephi 22 I know these words abide in Mike's heart. I can hear him speaking them to us, especially now. He is great man, he lived great and died great in the eyes of the Lord. He was and is the greatest teacher I have ever known. I miss him already and cannot wait for the day soon to come when we will be reunited. Until then, I will prepare and and try to do my best to carry on the work that he started, at least until he returns and takes the reins again. I love you Mike we all do. Until we meet again, Farewell Christian Hess
