Born on September 11, 1987 in San Bernardino, California, to Edna Catherine Thomas and Vitapati Cox’el. She leaves behind a legacy through her three children, sisters, mother, and everyone she touched with her kindness and generosity.
Vitera had a contagious smile that spread happiness to those around her. You would never guess the burdens she carried but she used her own struggles and barriers to uplift others.
Vitera was a vibrant and kind-hearted soul. She was a woman of grace, loyalty, and integrity with a splash of pizazz. She was described by many as a loving healer who carried a maternal energy. She loved being immersed in her African culture and learning more about her heritage. Vitera was an exquisite blend of numerous identities, constantly blending her life experiences together to create an ensemble of beauty. Vitera, was a powerful voice of reason, fervently committed to her authentic self. She was relentless in her pursuit of her dreams and was an unapologetic soul. Gone too soon was an angel of light, a lover of justice, and a martyr for peace.
