Our loving husband, father, Papa and brother died at home on January 27th, 2010 surrounded by his wife and daughters. He endured courageously and fought valiantly against melanoma.

Walter was a great fan of the New York Yankees and wore their cap proudly wherever he went. He was an avid reader and loved crossword puzzles.
He leaves his loving wife of 47 years, Frances; daughters Patricia McClellan and her husband David, and Catherine Manning and her husband Thomas of Somers, CT. Papa will be missed by his grandchildren Tabitha, Christopher, Samantha, Dominic, Michael and Nicholas. He also leaves behind sister Dorothy (James) Dignetti; two brothers John and Tom (Eileen) Neff; and nieces Jennifer and Caryn.

He was a quiet soul who will be very much missed by all who knew and loved him.
“Should you go first and I remain,
One thing I’ll have to do.
Walk slowly down that long, long path
For soon I’ll follow you.
I want to know each step you take,
So I may take the same
For someday down that lonely road
You’ll hear me call your name.
Your Loving Wife,
I’ll Miss you Love”
In Loving Memory

Dear Mom, Cathy and Patti, I am so very sorry that your husband and father has passed. Although I felt like a part of your family for so many years I only had a few chances to meet with Walter. I do remember that when we were in each others presence he always made me feel comfortable, a part of the family. Of course always keeping one eye on me as well..My prayers are with you all and God bless you during this time of sadness. I Love You All..David
