In Loving Memory

I will miss you Buz. Thank you for all the wonderful meals, walks, hikes, and free skiing lessions. You will live in my heart forever. You were my best friend over the past year, and I was yours. I'm glad you are at peace.

I hope that wherever you are, you've found endless vertical feet of fresh, untracked snow. You gave me many gifts that helped make me who I am today. I will treasure them always.

I'm seriously pissed at you! Too many days in the future that I would have liked to spend with you. Peace to me undoubtedly comes with death. I would have rather had the banter back and forth with you. Nights on the front porch; skiing (you will always be the most incredible) and the lessons. "Keep it simple, stupid". I use your lessons most days and therefore will think/have thought of you most days. You made more of an impact on me then anyone. Certainly not so nice at times, but still worth the contemplation. Are you in a better place, I hope so; Do you have peace of mind, certainly; am I missing you, always. love you

Buzz, Time blew right past us! I'll miss you. You were a great friend to me and the first to jump in and help. You were there for me at the time in my life when I needed a friend and I'll never forget it. Love you my friend Bill

Buzz, You always considered me your big brother, I wish you had confided in me more than you chose to do. I will miss out visits together and the opposite opinions on most everything...thats what made us brothers. Loved you, Big Bro

Wayne we talked about this many times, I remember a hard day I was having when I lost my son and you brought me a jar of blue berry jam from one of your freinds, that simple act of kindness helped me through a very hard day. Thanks Ed

I was bowled over when I started seeing posts on Facebook. Weird that we were just starting to chat a bit again a couple weeks ago. Although we grew up next door to each other, we became more distant after MSU. You were always the first to offer a hug hello at the reunions. Be at peace my man.

Wayne, was glad to call you a friend, wish on my runs would have had time for that beer with you in Salt Lake City but life moves fast and sometimes we miss out. RIP My Friend!

May the Lord bless you and keep you. May the Lord make his face to shine upon you, and be gracious to you. May the Lord lift up his countenance upon you, and give you peace.

I am still a little in shock about Buz's passing and not quite sure what to say about it. Buz was intense at times, but he was also a loyal friend, and clearly to many people besides just myself. I feel sad for what he must have gone through during the last few months and sadder still at what his friends and family are going through now. Miss you, Buz!

I know you were so tortured. Nothing and no one could ever fix it, though God knows I tried, along with so many others. That you thought you had no other options is painfully tragic to us all, especially when we could see your good as well as feel your pain. I hope you lie in loving arms. I hope you finally know peace.

Memories will never be lost, growing up through school with "buzz" was full of memorable events. From shooting video on a golf course hill and catching air on skis. Doing Blizzard together "go team 2". To prom in a limo, to wearing our skis on the trampoline doing hug flips and twists. Having K2's Wayne Wong as our idol. growing up with Wayne "Buzz" was quite a dose of adrenaline to life's experience. I got to visit with him only on occasion over the years when I was in Utah to ski. We would venture off piste for all the good stuff (sometimes) yet always came to the end of each run grinning ear to ear. Thank you for a life time of memories.

Buz, what the hell? I just learned this news by chance and have wracked my brain about exactly when you called me. We talked about how things were not good but... dammit man. Of all the people Aaron knew in Utah, he remembered you the most, as did I, for all the best reasons. It comforts me to think that he met you at the gates and that the two of you are keeping each other's company until I arrive. When that happens, we'll look back on this insane world and know we did the best we could. Rest in Peace my friend. Hill or Angie, if you see this please look me up in Durham - I'm in the phone book. Leave a message and I'll get back to you.
