Wendie D. Dodds

Wendie Dene Dodds has left this earthly dimension to continue spreading love to those who have gone on before, and to watch over those of us who are left behind. She died on Sunday, April 28, with the love of her life, Tamera Denise Wilson by her side.

Wendie was born on August 29, 1958 to Wally and Margaret Dodds. She grew up in the Bountiful area, graduating from Bountiful High School in 1976. Wendie worked as a CNA for several years, bringing love and comfort to people during their most difficult times. She went on to study Computer Technology, and worked in that field for many years.

Wendie had one son, Barrett (Bear) who was her pride and joy. He married Amber, and they have two children, Jamie and Ebben. She loved them with all her heart and soul.

Wendie helped to raise many other children throughout her life. She loved children, and will be remembered for the crafts and cooking she did with them, and the joy and peace she brought into their lives.

Wendie was a kind and forgiving person. She greeted everyone with a hug, and never left anyone without telling them that she loved them. She made everyone feel like they were the most important person in the world to her. She wasn't afraid to give compliments and encouragement to everyone she met.

Wendie also has two brothers, Tadd and Bart. She has many nieces and nephews who will miss her dearly.

No one meant more to Wendie than her lifelong partner, Denise. They were together for 41 years, supporting and caring for each other, while enjoying life together. Needless to say, Denise is heartbroken, as we all are.

There will be a celebration of Wendie's life on Sunday, May 5 from 11:30 to 1:30 at the Utah Pride Center on 1380 So. Main Street. She had many dear friends there, and they are looking forward to honoring her life. We are hoping that family members and friends will come out to share in the remembrance of Wendie. Bring pictures you might have of Wendie, or something that reminds you of her for our memorial table. A light lunch will be served.

Wendie was an angel on earth. She brought a light and love to everyone that will never be forgotten.
