Wendy K 'Seidel' Whiting

October 5, 1965 - April 19, 2021

Our beautiful wife, mother, grandmother, and friend returned home to the loving arms of her Lord and Savior on April 19, 2021.

She was born October 5, 1965 in Salt Lake City, Utah, to Karl H. and Marjadene M. Seidel. She married her true love and high school sweetheart, David W. Whiting, September 23, 1989 in Salt Lake City, Utah and together they built a wonderful life.

Wendy enjoyed many things including sewing, gardening, barbecues with friends, family fishing trips, adventuring with her husband, and most of all spending time with her family and grandchildren.

She loved her daughter’s and son-in-law’s more than anything and never wanted a day to go by without telling them so. Her greatest joy was her grandchildren. She was proud to be their “Gammy” and especially enjoyed spoiling them with sweet treats. She cherished every moment spent with them.

Mom fought a long, courageous battle with ovarian cancer. Though met with many trials and adversities during the past few years, her determination and unwavering faith in Jesus Christ continued to bring her the strength and endurance to keep up the good fight.

Her heart was full of love and encouragement and her comforting hugs always felt like being home. She was a best friend to many and will be dearly missed by all.

Wendy is survived by her husband, three daughters Mrs. Charlie M. Boyce (Jason), Mrs. Sarah “Missy” M. Griffiths (Joe), Ms. Whitney K Whiting (Barry), grandchildren Cyrus, Brooklyn, Bradley, Hazel, Piper, Theo, Zeke, Louie, Rosie, and grand baby girl on the way, father, special Aunt Rosie Godfrey, sister Karolyn Tanner, brother-in-law Ben Dalton, nieces Racquel, McKenzie, Frances, great nephews Bronson, Thomas, great niece Marquee. Special friends Krissy and Ruthie, along with many aunts and uncles. She is preceded in death by her mother, mother-in-law Joan Dalton, and niece Jessica Necaise.

Services to be held Thursday, April 29, 2021 at 6:00-8:00 p.m. at Hope Church at Salt Mine in Sandy, Utah (7984 South 1300 East).
