Winifred Elizabeth Watson
December 9, 2016 - May 16, 2022
Salt Lake City, UT— On May 16, 2022, Winnie Watson flew from this world to become an angel of her Heavenly Father, Heavenly Mother, and her Savior, Jesus Christ.
She was born on December 9, 2016, to her adoring parents, Stephen and Elizabeth Watson, coming just 60 seconds after the birth of her twin brother George. Winnie is a vivacious, energetic, and fun-loving little girl. She has pretty blonde hair, gorgeous blue eyes, and an electric smile with a dimple in her right cheek. She is a girl’s girl: she loves the color pink, unicorns, rainbows, princesses, dresses, sparkly shoes, and stuffed animals (especially her Lamby). Winnie has a vivid imagination and loves imaginative play with friends and cousins, and especially loves playing with her twin brother George. She is a magnificent artist and created wonderful drawings and colorings. Music is a source of joy for her and she has a strong and magnetic singing voice. She has a passion for dancing whether it is at her formal ballet recitals or jamming out to her favorite songs at home. Winnie loves to be outside in nature whether it is going on family bike rides in the neighborhood, swinging high on the swings at the park, or admiring the pretty flowers at Red Butte Garden. She loves to learn and read books. She has strong faith in Jesus Christ and is always eager and willing to take turns saying family prayers at mealtimes and bedtimes. She loves family time and being with her brothers and sister. She has a special relationship with her mother and enjoys helping her mom cook meals, watching movies and having sleepovers with mom, and getting their nails done together. She is the apple of her father’s eye, her daddy’s princess. She is a fierce and fearless fighter. She is perfect in every way that a little girl could be and makes her parents proud. She will always be our daughter, our sister, our Winnie.
Winnie is survived by her loving parents, Stephen and Elizabeth; her big brother Henry (9), her twin brother George (5), and her baby sister Eloise (1); her grandparents Nancy Watson, and Rick and Carolyn Szilagyi; and her extended family, friends, and neighbors.
Funeral services will be held on Saturday, May 21, 2022 at 11:00am at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints Canyon Rim 3rd Ward, 3051 South 2900 East, Millcreek, UT, where friends and neighbors may greet the family from 9:30am to 10:30am. She will be laid to rest privately.

My condolences to your family. I wish I had known Winnie. She sounds delightful and loved. Though I cannot possibly comprehend what you must be feeling, my heart aches for you. I know that she is not alone - even cradled in loving arms of family and our Savior. And I know that in time, you will be with her again. This is the hope of the Gospel. My love and prayers are with you at this difficult time. President Matheson
