Yar Bak passed away on June 11, 2023 in Abu Dhabi. She was born in Juba, South Sudan on January 1, 1982. She was laid to rest at Mt. Olivet Cemetery.

Yar and I were coworkers for a handful of years in our early 20's. She was a student, beautiful girl, and a world traveler.
