Tom Blockovich

April 30, 1948 - July 30, 2024

Tom Blockovich was born in Las Vegas, Nevada on April 30, 1948 and passed away on July 30, 2024 at his home in Kearns, Utah. Tom was the oldest child of John Blockovich and Vera Pierce Blockovich. When Tom was very young, he along with his parents and sister moved to Kearns, Utah where they were some of the very first residents.

Tom graduated from Cyprus High School in 1966.  Immediately after high  school, Tom joined the United States Air Force where he served honorably in Vietnam.  He continued to serve his country for many years in the Air Force and after leaving the Air Force, he continued to serve in the Utah National Guard for many more years.

Tom was a devout Catholic and proud member of Saint Francis Xavier Church in Kearns. He was a member of the Knights of Columbus and the Legion of Mary.

Tom is survived by his wife Rasela Blockovich, sons Thomas, David, and  Mathew (Tonia) Blockovich as well as daughter Anne Vasso. He is also survived by his siblings Michael Blockovich, JoLene (Craig) Ellertson, Eva (Michael) Rees, and numerous grandchildren, nieces and nephews.  

Tom is preceded in death by his parents, John and Vera, his son Brian Blockovich, and his brother Luke Blockovich.

There will be a visitation for Tom at Saint Francis Xavier Church, 4501 W 5215 S, Kearns, Utah on August 14, 2024 at 9:30 am. Funeral Mass will be celebrated following the visitation at 11:00 am.  In honor of Tom’s service to his country, he will be laid to rest at the Utah Veterans Cemetery & Memorial Park at Camp Williams in Bluffdale, Utah.
