John David Douglass Sr.

John David Douglass Sr, 82, passed away peacefully in his sleep on July 20, 2017 at Spring Creek Healthcare Center located in Salt Lake City.  He was born on March 14, 1935 in Little Rock, Arkansas to Earl and Ruby Douglass.

John grew up in El Paso, Texas.  He graduated from El Paso High School in 1953.  After high school he attended Texas Western College (now UTEP) where he received a degree in electrical engineering.  He retired from McDonnell Douglas in Long Beach, California.

John is survived by his sons, John David (Jolene) Douglass, Jr of Midvale, Utah and Jason Douglass, of Los Angeles, California; daughter, Sue (RJ) Willoughby, of Mesquite, Nevada; his twin sister, Joan (Mac) McCormick, Burleson, Texas; 11 grandchildren; 4 great grandchildren; nieces and nephews and other relatives.

John was preceded in death by his parents Earl and Ruby and his daughter, Diane Michelle.

A graveside service will be held at  Saturday July, 22 at Salt Lake City Cemetery, 200 N Street, Salt Lake City, Utah at 11:00am.
