Stephen Loy Fife

Stephen Loy Fife was born August 9, 1952, to Max Loy Fife and Joan Bitten in Ogden, Utah.

He graduated from Roy High School, where he laid the foundation for his future endeavors.

Stephen was a dedicated leader across many professions, beginning with Brown Floral where he developed his artistic skills and creative talents in floral design. He then worked for American Express for several years where he rose to the rank of manager. Later ventures led him to work for eBay, Uber, and Lyft.

Beyond his professional achievements, Stephen was an avid participant in the performing arts and shared his many talents singing baritone and dancing. He was an active member in the Mormon Youth Symphony & Chorus, Salt Lake Symphonic Choir, Salt Lake Men’s Choir, and Choral Arts Society of Utah.

He graced many stages in Utah with the Rocky Mountain Dancers and toured Europe extensively to Italy, Belgium, Austria, Scotland, and Denmark, once performing for Queen Margrethe II. His cultural endeavors extended to Beijing, China, where he represented the United States at international folk festivals.

Stephen’s culinary skills were as remarkable as his artist talents. He delighted in sharing his creations with everyone he knew. He was an impeccable host and entertained generously in his beautifully appointed home.

Stephen was passionate about astrology and living through his star sign Leo. He was charismatic, loyal, ambitious, and confident. He was always committed to self-improvement and often attended retreats and seminars to gain personal insights and perspectives on divination and spirituality, even recently in Washington and Arizona.

A connoisseur of life’s finer aspects, Stephen excelled in the art of living well. He will always be remembered for his thoughtfulness, sense of humor, sharp wit, intuition, consideration, and elegant manner of speaking, qualities that will be etched in the memories of those who knew him. 

Stephen is survived by his family, friends, and his loyal dog, Chelsey. 

A celebration of life will be on Friday, March 8, 2024 from 6-8 PM at Starks Funeral Parlor, 3651 S 900 E, Salt Lake City. Guests are encouraged to use parking and entrance located on the north side of the building. Stephen will be laid to rest on Saturday, March 9, 2024 at 12:00 PM at West Weber Cemetery, 4252 W 950 N, Ogden.
