Dear Erland and family, I’m so sorry to hear of Janice’s passing. I got to know her so much better when we were roomies at Carlson Hall. She was very quick to learn and was so intelligent! During our elementary and high school years she was in beauty pageants and very active in music and being a marching, baton twirling drum majorette. She expressed her thoughts well and acted on her beliefs. I’m sure she will be missed by all who were associated with her. Ralph and I are sorry we are unable to attend the gathering event, but have an important family commitment. Our thoughts are with you. Kathryn and Ralph Firth

Dear Family, I was so sorry to hear that Janice had passed away, we grew up together, went to school together, she was the smartest person I knew. I loved to ride the horses that her father provided for me. We love to go see the ice skater at the fair grounds, her Mother would always take us down and back. She was such a nice person. Janice will be missed by all. Love Joyce fredde

Dear Erland, As I read Janice's obituary in the newspaper this morning, I became very sad. Childhood memories flooded my mind. Janice and I were close friends throughout our public school years. Her home was just a mile east of mine and she was born just two weeks before I was. We served in school organizations together, were married the same year, and I always thought of her as a dear friend despite the fact that our lives diverged somewhat as the years passed. She was one of the most intelligent and talented people I knew. Because of a previous responsibility, I will not be able to attend Janice's services, but I extend my sincere sympathy to you and your family. May you find peace and joy in your memories of dear Janice.

Dear Erland, Elizabeth, and John, Janice was a dear friend and support to me. I enjoyed her sharp wit, political activism, positive attitude, and never failing support of her family. Her love was unconditional. Every November/December she helped gather items for the Road Home, and was always involved in bettering the world through her Kiwanis service. My heart would leap when I'd see her at the symphony! She truly loved music, and in times past, played that organ in her house. I imagine her now enjoying heavenly songs!
