In Loving Memory

My heart goes out to the family of Eileen Gemperline. I knew Eileen, what is it now, over 40 years ago, when she was working for Doc Lyman, I believe it was. Memory has a way of dimming exact details. But I do remember her as lovely, fun person, so lively and cheerful. She always put me at ease when I went for my prenatal checkups for my first child. I remember her telling me about her lovely family. If I remember right, she said at the time they were living in Colorado, she said she was looked down on because she had more than the "acceptable: 2.8 children like other people. She bragged about her family of 8 (?) children. And I applauded I her spunk in defending her lovely family and expressions of how wonderful they were. Time has a way of slipping away, and I don't recall how many years she was in Doc Lyman's office, but I always remembered her for the lovely person she was who so kind to me, always having something to talk to me about. I went on to have 9 children and always remembered her proudly talking about her own large family. God bless you all. I hope your memories of her will wrap around your lives and hold you up at this time. Sincerely, Jeanette Skeem

Gemperlines, I’m so sorry to hear of the loss of your mom. Eileen was a sweet and kind lady. I enjoyed visiting your home the one time I stayed over to visit Joe. I enjoyed her when she worked with Dr. Henrie. Both of your parents were good friends of my parents. They were outstanding examples in the community. They will be missed but I know your family will miss them the most. God Bless your family during this time of mourning. The wonderful memories will help you get through this time.
