In Loving Memory

What a gift to get to know Larry while working with maintenance at UDOT.  We had alot of fun joking around! Larry was a great station supervisor and always watched out for the guys.  He was my friend, and taught me alot about maintenance with the Department. He will be greatly missed.

I am so sorry to hear of Larry's passing. I had the privilege of working with "Big Larr" at UDOT over the past decade. He was such a kind man with a huge heart and he really cared deeply about his work. From the time I was new in my job, Larry always went out of his way to help me succeed. He would pitch terrific media stories and always reach out to me with any issues facing his area. I will always remember Larry for his generosity and will really miss his friendship. My deepest condolences to Larry's family and friends.

One of my fondest memories is when Larry, Alex, my cousin George and I would go bird hunting and fishing with our fathers. We would ride in the open bed of the pickup truck to get to our destination. Thankfully, we never got in a car accident.

May Larry's memory be eternal,

Johanna, Steve, Corina and Tessie,

I'm heartbroken over the passing of Larry.  I was lucky enough to get to spend part of my life with him and made some wonderful memories. He was always willing to help anyone, loved to golf, his smile would light up a room, snow would make him light up, and he especially loved to cook. A piece of my heart will be gone forever.  I will always love him.  My thoughts and prayers are with all of you.  I hope your memories will help ease the pain as time goes on.  ❤️❤️❤️❤️

I've known Larry since I was in the 6th grade and best friends with his little sister Jo. He was always so kind if also sometimes exasperated by our antics. I remember him as gentle and huge hearted. Sending all of my love to his family and friends in this time of grief. His memory will be a blessing to all who encountered him.

Larry hired me in 1997 at Station 225. He was always kind to me and I enjoyed working with him. Nobody could run a jackhammer better than Larry. We went dove hunting a few times, he was an awesome shot. After I left Station 225, I transferred to Region 3. Many years later, I ran into Larry at 227. I filled my tanker many times at his shed. Everytime I pulled in, he would drive out to greet me and we would talk about old times. I will miss knowing that Larry is here on earth. Take care my friend and thanks for everything!
