In Loving Memory

Our Tia Lencha, as Laurencia Sierra, was known to our family has now joined our Tio Tany and her siblings in eternal sleep.  Althought we lived far apart and seldom saw each I have many fond memories of Tia Lencha as I was growing up in Anthony, NM.

Tia Lencha will be greatly missed by her large family that she was truly devoted to.

Thank you Selma and Elsa for taking good care of ou Tia for so many years.

Our love and prayers are with all of the family, as this is a staggering loss for all of you!

The story of Laurencia's life encapsulates her essence. She was a faithful, strong, hard-working, deeply loving woman of God!

When we first met at church we introduced ourselves to each other.  The next time we saw each other she called me by name and I was mortified, as I couldn't recollect her name in that moment.  I looked at this woman substantially older than I and stood in awe! She was truly aware of everyone around her.

Earl and I were so grateful to have shared a small portion of her life and honored to call her "family"! I was privileged to take the Holy Eucharist to Laurencia once Mass attendance became too difficult.  We always enjoyed our prayer time and visiting.  After our time with Jesus, we would make and share breakfast.  To this day I can't make eggs without feeling her right by my side!

The holiday and weekend meals shared were a source of such joy, as we had no other family around. Laurencia loved to see people gathered together and sharing life's joy!

Laurencia was a soul who has left an indelible mark in every life she touched. May her soul rest in peace now and forever! Love and miss you my Utah mother!
