In Loving Memory

I will miss you brother Dave. Although I didn't see you much the past few years,I remember you coming to my daughter valaries wedding. I was so happy to see you both and have many happy times when the girls came to visit little London or jarred got with mcdevin. I saw a lot of you in mcdevon. Charm and great manners. I hoped that jarred would be like Dave and his cousin and he grew to be. So many great memories growing up and watching his passion for all his bands is definitely missed. I can just see him reuniting with his brothers and playing dramatically in the heavens. So many people to greet him. Love you always brother Dave...until we see each other again...vicki cook

Loved my Bro, already missing him, sharing yet another side of David, that he should and will be remembered for - before he got into working as a Chef, Dave was a Barber, and owned a very successful shop called Today's Image,  He was pretty well known for his radical cutting techniques, from flat tops to cutting long long hair, he could put on quite the show, I had the priviledge of working along side him til he gave up the shop to play more music!!  Thanks for all the good times David, love you forever...

Hey Mcdevin and Kristen I'm so sorry for your loss your dad my brother was a wonderful person. The times I did see David seems like we always laughed , I always had some funny thing to say to him and call him bro and the peace sign and he just giggle and laugh. I shave my head the last time and took off my hat to him and says what do you think of my hair Dave he about died laughing. There's a few times he'd come over to Sue's when I was there wanted to take me for a ride in his car sometimes I think he was lost lol. I love my older brother so much I loved all of them and they're all together again with Mom and Dad. I'm sorry I won't be at the memorial service for him,  I just left I don't plan on coming back until late next month. I'm glad he didn't suffer too long you know Grandma was in a nursing home for I think over a couple years so I'm glad David didn't have to go through that. I love you Mcdevin. I know when you were younger and when I did see I used to always call you mcD. You'll always look like your dad.  David he was a good man so is his son.  All of the Carling siblings are getting old. Another 20 years or less all eight of us will be gone but boy what a legacy my  parents and brothers and sisters brought into this world. Give your mom Holly a hug for me. And give your little boys a hug for me and Kristen I love you to the moon and back Mcdevin I'll miss my brother Dave until we meet again.

I don't really know what to say other than I feel deeply for your loss. I remember when McDevon and I were kids in school together, Dave was always kind to me.  I never knew him to be judgmental or condescending like some of my other friends' parents. He always seemed to go out of his way to make McDevon's friends comfortable. He was a genuinely positive influence in our lives. I'm so sorry for your loss.
