Cecilia S. Brewton

Cecilia S. Brewton was born on October 11, 1950 in Chicago, Illinois to the late Ivy and Sewortha Cannon. She was the seventh of thirteen children. Mom Cecilia moved to Salt Lake City, Utah in the early 80’s with her husband and 3 children. She graduated from Dusable High School in 1967 and attended business college where she obtained her Associates Degree. She worked for the VA before relocating to Salt Lake City, Utah in 1982.

Mom worked for the Welfare Department, Salvation Army, and volunteered her services helping other in need. Mom enjoyed dancing, cooking, and above all, spending time with her family. 

Mom accepted Jesus Christ as her Lord and Savior at an early age. 

She was married to her husband Jerry Brewton for over 40 years and has 3 kids, Michael (Katrina) Cannon, Shaun (Emanuel) Hamilton, Jermaine (Ana) Cannon. She has 15 grandchildren and great grandchildren. A host of nieces, nephews, cousins and extended family members.
