Merry Jane Addison

June 28, 1950 - March 19, 2024

Jane Addison, much loved wife of Ray Addison, passed away suddenly on March 19, 2024 in South Jordan. Jane was born June 28, 1950 to Virginia Helterline Malm. Jane was raised in the avenues area of Salt Lake City. She attended the Cathedral Madeleine Elementary school, St.

Mary's of the Wasatch, and graduated from East High School.

Jane met and married Ray November 21,1970. Ray and Jane had many adventures with both family and friends. Jane and Ray shared their love of University Football and the Utah Jazz, having had season tickets for many years. She would end her text messages to family with

"Go Utes!”. Ray and Jane loved all their pets especially their golden retrievers and were never without a dog by their side or in the back of the truck. Jane and Ray remained the best of friends till her sudden passing.

Jane suffered from scleroderma a debilitating autoimmune disease. Jane never complained about the pain and discomfort. She put others in front of her own needs. Jane was a devoted daughter and friend to her Mother, Virginia. She was the major caregiver for her Mother up until the end of her Mother's life. Jane cared for her sister-in-law, Susan; being there for Susan when her husband passed away. We will remember Jane for her kindness and caring for family and friends.

Jane is survived by her loving husband, Ray; golden retriever, Ralph; brothers, David (Martha) Malm, Don (Margaret) Malm and Dennis (Cheryl) Malm; sister-in-law, Susan Hansen; cousins, Marie Buczek, Joe (Danny) Pemberton, and many nieces and nephews.

She is preceded in death by her mother, Virginia; Ray’s siblings, Jolene and Park; and their golden retriever, Perc.
