Roger Harold Green

Roger Harold Green passed away on April 10, 2024 at the age of 93. Born in Rochester, New York to Edward and Nellie, he grew up with four siblings: Gordon, Marlene, William, and Edward. Roger moved west after serving in the Air Force carefully driving nuclear bombs around. Settling in Utah, he worked as an engineer, estimator, and project manager in the construction industry. A hard worker, a sign in his office read, “Thank God, it’s Monday.” Survived by step-children, Danetta and David, and children, Darryl and Brian, Roger lived a vibrant life filled with love, friendship, and humor. In the early 90s, he formed a hiking group and filled it with wonderful people. They call themselves Roger’s Raiders, and are still active today. As a cheerful volunteer, he led an exercise class at the senior center for over 20 years. Neighbors at his condominium complex knew him well, since he often walked the grounds cleaning up trash. Roger put his love into others and lived an incredibly full life, still active into his 90s, often with a twinkle in his eyes. With his endearing quick wit, he was someone people were happy to see. Roger was a bright spot in our world and now hikes among the clouds above Grandeur Peak Trail.
