In Loving Memory

“The influence of a good teacher can never be erased.” I’m forever grateful that I was able to have Mrs. Nesi as my elementary school teacher. Although I was a knucklehead in those early years, Mrs. Nesi had the great gift of bringing out the best in her students. So thank you Mrs. Nesi! Thank you for all you have done for us, may we never forget the memories and lessons you shared with us.

I had the luck to get Mrs. Nesi as my 5th and 6th grade teacher. Everything she taught me about the JFK assassination, Nazi Germany, medieval times, the moon landing and egyptian times, I still remember every detail to this day. Joe came every year to help us launch rockets, we mummified chickens, we had a medieval jousting tournament and round table feast, just to name a few of the totally awesome things we got to do in her classroom . She made learning so much fun, which made me a life long learner. Years later I saw her at a family reunion and I was able to tell her about all of the things she had taught me. She was tickled that I remembered it all. When I graduated from college Mrs. Nesi and Joe were there. It meant so much to me she would come to cheer me on as I walked across the graduation stage. I will never forget what an influence she had on my life. Thank you Mrs. Nesi!

Dear Joe and family, praying for all during this sad time! Thank you for being such a wonderful husband to Lynn. She and I met through Connie, when we were 14. She was loved very much, and you both showed your love for one another, to others! God bless! Love Kathy Beckner, Seal Beach, CA.

Linda was one of my dear teaching sisters at Whittier Elementary. For years after she retired, teenagers would still stop by looking for her. Many blessings to Linda's family......

Dearest Joe and family, I was so sorry to hear of Linda's passing. She was one of the most cheerful, kind and caring people that I know. You both made me feel so welcome when I first moved in to the neighborhood and I will always remember you both with love.

I had the great experience of working with Linda when she had her first date with Joe. She knew from the very beginning she loved him, and it was a done deal when he sang to her. She brightened my life as she shared her courtship and marriage and daily life with me. I loved Linda, and she was a stellar teacher, touching the lives of so many of our Whittier kids. She truly loved her students. Thank you Linda, for being part of my memories. Love to Joe and their beautiful family.

Joe, Neal, Matt, and Alan, My thoughts and prayers are with you both. I have been blessed to have the opportunity to know and love each one of you. Even though the years between the last time I have seen you I have wonderful memories of spending time with the boys and seeing them grow up. May the Lord bless you and keep you close to your Mom until you see her again. Love always

Joe, our amazing cousin and family, Linda was an anointed woman of faith whose life had an impact on everyone who met her. You are a dedicated man who walks with the Lord, and we are holding you in prayer, knowing that God will surround you with His love as you walk through this sorrow but knowing you and Linda will reunite at the Supper of the Lamb. Oh how I love my friend, Linda! We taught school side by side, we went to graduate school side by side and taught at the university level, side by side. She was a constant motivating force for good. Her zeal to always make something better drove her/us forward. I will forever smile when I see sea foam green things, folded over potato chips, and colored cute watches. Her energy, love and passion for life was remarkable. I am so grateful to have had her in my life all these years. I love her!

Dear Joe and family, I want you to know how sorry I and my boys Wade & Brett are with the passing of Linda. Brett and Alan became good friends and Linda taught me to put cinnamon in my coffee. Springhill as you know became a family of it's own and we feel as though we have lost a family member. Love you all .

I am so sorry for your loss. Mrs. Nesi was an amazing teacher. She helped me to take my learning past understanding what ‘is’ and discover what ‘could be.’ Her love of science and learning were a great gift to all the students who had the opportunity to be in her class. I am grateful to have been one of them. My thoughts and prayers will be with your family.
