Benjamin Arnold Curtis

Benjamin “Ben” Arnold Curtis born August 8, 1966 passed away January 23, 2020. He was born to Linda (Oma) Daugherty Curtis and Allen Curtis in Salt Lake City, UT.

Ben lived in numerous states and settled in Salt Lake graduating from Granite High School.  Ben was a devoted Husband and Dad and enjoyed spending time with his family! He married Nicole Maxfield and had two children Riann and Landen.  Later divorced.  He met his wife, Anna Pugh Loring in 1996 and spent 24 wonderful years together.

He loved all types of sports, but was most passionate for basketball where he excelled in Junior High and High School winning awards.

His love for music was the highlight of his life. He would listen to music for hours at a time. He could name the singer, or the name of the band to almost anything. He was known as the Music Man!

He worked at Dynatronics for 28.5 years and took the last couple years off to listen to his music and watch the grass grow in his yard.

He is survived by his wife Anna, children, Riann (Ariadmy) Monferrer, Landen (Chelsea) Curtis, Alisha (Larry) Mitchell, and Samantha Murphy. Grandchildren, Zander, Jaydah, Kaylee, and Carson, and four siblings, Felecia (Craig) Stevens, Nikki (Jeff) Kubinski, Cristy Curtis, Jeff (Heather) Scott and his stepmother, Ronnie Curtis.

Preceded in death by his mother, Linda (Oma) Daugherty Haggstrom, his father, Allen Curtis and his brother Kelly Curtis.

Friends are invited to celebrate Ben’s life on Wednesday, January 29 from 6:00 until 8:00 PM at Starks Funeral Parlor, 3651 South 900 East, Salt Lake City.  Guests are encouraged to use the complimentary valet parking provided on the north side of the building.
